The Angel Ball

As a teenager, I used to watch my best friend’s mother get ready for the Angel Ball. Fern Stone lived down the block from me so we were always together. Her mother, Kitty Stone, was active in a few Jewish organizations, but the Angel Ball and NCJW took precedence over them all. I remember that Fern and I would always wait to see what dress Kitty would wear to the Ball and watched, as teenagers in awe would do, as she readied herself for this spectacular event. Little did I know at that time that I would honor Kitty’s memory by being a board member for NCJW. I am privileged to continue the tradition.
