As I watched fifteen past Presidents of the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Detroit Section proudly walk down the center aisle of Doreen Hermelin’s home on May 11, 2016, I was overwhelmed with joy, awe and pride. As I scanned the room with joy I quickly realized the number of friends and acquaintances I have gained through my affiliation with this incredible organization. I was awe struck by the quality and number of programs, projects and issues we have undertaken throughout our 125 years. The pride I felt was for all the good we have done within our community, improving the lives of women, children and families.
