NCJW – The Place for Me

I retired two years ago after 32 years as a teacher in Detroit Public Schools. I wanted to volunteer for an organization where I could make a difference for my community. My friend, Sue Lasser, said I have just the place for you – NCJW. I jumped right in and became the Patron Chair for Women of Vision. Everyone was so warm and welcoming that it made me feel like I’d found a new home. I love working with such intelligent women who care so much about problems in our area and work tirelessly to improve them. Now I’m one of the Chairs of the Back to School Store as well as the Patron Chair and I’m going to Washington Institute to make my voice heard for Social Justice on behalf of all our members. I’m proud to be a life member of NCJW as we celebrate 125 years strong.
