My Auntie Rosie Schlussel urged me to volunteer 22 years ago. It is the one volunteer project that I do every week. I started packing meals with her on Mondays and after she retired I switched my day to Friday to pack with my Grandpa Harry. So it was a family affair for me in many ways. The volunteers that I have worked with over the years are my family as well. After packing, there is always time to catch up on everyone’s lives over a piece of coffee cake. I am glad that I have had the chance to work with many amazing people over the years. It has been so fulfilling for me.
